You Know It's Cold When...

...even the stupid water falls freeze. But they are quite pretty that way, aren't they? Hubby took these pictures yesterday at Minnehaha Falls.

Here's a view from the side.

And here's a view from the front.

Here's a view from behind the falls. I'm not sure Hubby was supposed to be back there, but I'm kind of glad he went. :)

Now there's something you don't see everyday in CA.

Wow! Those are incredible pictures! I love the color of the ice from behind the waterfall! It was probably a bit dangerous to take that one, but at least a gorgeous picture came from the risky climb.

I especially like the pictures from behind the waterfall, it reminds me of Superman's Fortress of Solitude.

Whoa!!!! That is so amazing! I never even thought about a waterfall freezing in motion. So cool!

Jillian--Superman's Fortress of Solitude lol!!

Glad everyone liked the pictures. Might I recommend an Alaskan cruise at some point in your lives if you like these pictures. Seriously. Hubby and I went in '06 and it looked just like the frozen waterfall except it was the whole state. It was beautiful. Oooo...I could post pictures of that too...I just might do that!

Just my random thought for the day...

I totally agree with the Alaskan cruise suggestion. We went in '05. I would love to go again! Everything was gorgeous. Plus, Alaska summer weather is a glorious departure from So Cal summer. It was over 100 degrees when we left LA, but it was raining & in the 60's in Alaska. Plus, on a cruise, you can eat cheesecake with every meal!
